~ Fill Me With Love ~

Fill me up when I am empty,
Like no one else has done;
Pour warmth into my spirit,
Like rays from summer sun.

Like rain upon the desert,
On a dry and barren land;
You cause my soul to blossom,
With touch from gentle hands.

And like the breeze of springtime,
Gently 'cross my body blows;
Igniting there a flame of fire,
That sets my heart aglow.

You've placed a seed within me,
That has grown into a vine;
Of sheer unbridled passion,
Tendrils curled and intertwined.

Fill me up when I am empty,
Like an overflowing cup;
No one else has ever filled me so,
Yet my Love, you fill me up.

A Friend Unseen ...........

It's strange to have a friend

That you have never hugged

Lightly touched their arm

Or looked into their eyes

But ...

They have touched your soul

Felt their heart 

Been embraced by

The warmth of their being

A friend unseen

Is not a friend untouched

The eyes of the soul will gaze

The heart will embrace

The image will stand tall

But ..

only in dream

~ Love ~

love is like
a mailbox
it's pointless
and void
if no mail enters

Love is not
permanent
it appears
and disappears

But true love
endures
like the air we
breathe
it constantly
keeps us alive

A perfect body
will not function
without air and water
Love is like these gems
always precious
often polluted

True love is distilled water
it's simple and pure
but sublimer and greater
than worldly lures.

When your dreams
are disrupted
and your voice is
blocked,

be patient

As long as whatever
is good for you
is good for your kin
continue

For that which is ugly
but true, 

has a higher value, 

than that which is
pretty but false.

New Directions ~

Ideas and images swirl in my mind

coalesce into thoughts

about where I have already been

and need not go again.

But where then?

Which is the new direction?

I think I know pretty well

how I spin on my axis,

rotate through sun and shadow,

night and day.

But my orbit is less clear.

I still can find

the simple surge of joy

in discovering

my own gravitational pull,

knowing I won’t spin off

at some wild tangent,

nor will I

mindlessly

whirl in place.

I’ll take my bearings

in constellations

slowly changing

as I look into my night sky

for stars beckoning

brightly

and those still unknown.

The nexus is between being

and waiting

 readying for the new wave forming

to roll through space,

lifting me to new

approximations,

different distances,

newer milky ways.

~ It Will Come ~

It Will Come ........

When life’s largest pressures leave you struck dumb,

Just search for an answer;

 the solution will come.

When a tragedy occurs leaving you feeling numb,

Just wait for your health;

the strength will come.

When everyone relies on you and there is no way you can see,

Trust your mind to think with time;

patience is the key.

When you have made it where others always flee,

Just wait to gather courage;

 soon you’ll be where you want to be.

When it is nearing the end and you’re in need,

Muster up your courage; endurance will lead.

IT WILL COME

Run your fingers through my soul

For once

Just once

Feel exactly what I feel

Believe what I believe

Perceive as I perceive

Look

Examine

and for once

Just once

Understand

~ Where Is The Answers ? ~

What lies ahead for me?
Is it adventure, Or is it despair.

Is it interesting, Or is it dull.

Is it fun, Or will it be bore

Could it be total fulfillment,

Or a total disappointment.


Where is my life going?

Where is it headed?

Where is the reasoning?

Is it out there, waiting to be found?
Or is it lost, for eternity?

So I can be lost wandering, forever.

I want to know.
For now I am lost.
Lost to despair.

It has a firm grasp on me.

And I am stuck wandering, aimlessly,
Searching for the answer.

 
Do you know? 

 If so, please speak. 

 For now, I am so bleak.

  I want to know, desperately. 

 But I know that I,  

And only I, 

can find the answer. 

For no one knows me, 

 As well as I know. 

They say the answer will come.

  But when? 

 I sit and think and wait,

  But nothing appears to me. 

 I search and search,  

Till I feel I am falling into abyss. 

I need someone, something. 

 It is a quest I can't escape. 

 My mind spins around and around, 

But still, no answer is to be found. 

 So my desolate search goes on And on, 

And on, 

And on.

~ A Matter Of Trust ~

As we live out our lives from day to day
We come to realize there’s only one way,
To meet life’s challenges, as we surely must,
It comes down to one thing, it’s a matter of trust,

We rely on our faith in all that we do,
Without it there’s no hope left for me or you,
Just think on how much , on others we really rely,
Without faith in them, we’d never get by.

Think of the driver of our local bus,
He takes us around without any fuss,
` The pilots of planes that fly through the sky,
Without trust in them we never would fly.

The postman each day who delivers the mail,
If there was no one to do that, we’d raise such a wail,
The doctor who treats us when we are ill,
We depend on his knowledge, to prescribe the right pills’

Just think for a moment as the days fly on by,
How much on others we we always rely,
We have faith in our cars each day that we drive,
That they’ll transport us quickly, and we safely arrive.

So take time to ponder , whatever we do,
Trust is the element that see’s us get through,;
But above all things else, as through life we plod,
The greatest of all, is to have trust in Allah.

~ Worthwhile ~

So often Life

Is not filled

With Love and Laughter

As much as

With Loneliness and Disappointment

But there will be enough

Of those beautiful moments

With very special people

To make it all

Seem worthwhile

~ A Peaceful Heart ~

If we are anger
We are living in hell
What we put into our minds
Brings us
To where we are
Our own weapons are…
Prejudice, fear, and ignorance
Working for peace is
Uprooting roots from
Within us and others
What of us others ask…
Give


There are always ways to
Solve our problems
Always ways
Without killing
The person we call our “enemy”
Is also suffering
Deeply
When we
See
This we
Have the capacity
To love
We have compassion for
And accept one another


“Enemies” are illusions
They are individuals who are
Suffering and greatly need our compassion


Forgiveness is
The fruit of awareness
Forgive kindly
Mindfully
It will allow us to see
Root causes that lead to them
To suffering
This occurs naturally
And this allows
Compassion
To be given

If I knew you
and you knew me,
If both of us could clearly see,
And with an inner sight divine,
The meaning of your heart and mine,
I'm sure that we would differ less,
And clasp our hands in friendliness
Our thoughts would pleasantly agree,
If I knew you
..... and you knew me.

It is not what we read,
but what we remember,
that makes us learned


It is not what we intend,
but what we do that makes us useful.


It is not a few faint wishes,
but a life long struggle,
that makes us valiant.

I found everything
In the search for Me
I discovered Truth

I discovered God

And in God
I have found everything ....

~ Towards The light ~

By moonlight,
or starlight,
or in the sun’s bright rays,
I journey,
guiding my way
by keeping to the light
as best I can.

Sometimes all seems dark,
then I remember
how the poppy turns its head,
following the sun’s passage across the sky,
then rests in night’s cool shadows,
bowing in thanks
to the Creator
makes the stalk
stand straight and strong,
drawing deep from its roots
a wine dark love.

In moonlight,
the garden glows,
silvering the poppies.
And even by starlight
you can tell shades of darkness
if you try.

So do not lose heart
when vision dims.
Journey forth
as best you can
bloom when you are able,
rest when you must,
keep your faith,
keep always
towards the light.

~ Tired Of Empty Promises ? ~

Did you place all your hopes in the things of this world
To find you've never really been satisfied ?
And you've never really been at peace in your heart
Regardless of the things you have tried.



Perhaps it was money, prestige or relationships
That left you disappointed or betrayed.
Or you've never really felt like you ever fit in
No matter where it was you stayed.



If you're tired of the vain promises
And the pale answers the world offers up,
Let's pray to Allah, ask Him to save you
Then I promise He'll fill your cup.



There's nothing this world can give a person
That could ever substitute or replace
A personal relationship with God
And knowing you're covered by grace.

~ Surrender ~

In the stillness of the morning
Oh God I come to You.
I pray that on this day
You’ll help me to get through.
I pray You’ll guide each of my steps
As I live as for You today.
Please give me strength and courage
To live my life Your way.



In the business of the day
I come to You Yaa Allah
I know I get impatient Lord
For I am terribly flawed.
But please Lord take my worries
I give them all to You.
And help me trust You
In everything I do.



In the struggles of the evening
Please help me Lord get through.
Often times I just can’t cope
And I don’t know what to do.
Though storms rage up against me
Don’t let me lose the fight.
For Your strength is all I need
So keep me in your sight.



In the quiet of the night time
Oh Lord I pray to you.
Please protect my family
Each day and each night too.
I ask Lord for Your special touch
To cover us with love.
To keep us safe all through the night
As You watch us from above.

To Be One ....

Not all love

no matter how strong

gets a chance to have a lifetime

of expression

some love

though it be all powerful

can only shine

in the shortness

of just the smallest time

being a love that’s true

its life force, its shadow

its tune

will live on in the hearts

of those two

that for whatever time

got the honor, the privilege

the pleasure

to be one…

~ The Pendulum ~

My feelings and thoughts

Are like a pendulum

Sometimes I am sure of what I feel

Then when I least expect it something happens

Doubt enters my mind

Making my thoughts full of fear

For I have been there before

I don’t want to go again

The pendulum swings making me unsure

Ever so slightly thoughts enter my mind

Who are you and what do you want from life

Will our desires clash and make life miserable

One day I feel I know a good and loving man

Then you will get angry and scare me again

So the pendulum swings to and fro

Sometimes making my heart hurt so

For I know what pain is like

Deep within were no one can see

How easily threatened I can be

From the past to the future

The pendulum slowly swings

Mixing all the emotions of the times

You have shared with others before me

For I have not known but one

His pendulum swung wildly

Back and forth changing his moods

I suffered for his insecurities

The ability to compete in his world

So I paid the price with pain

Over and over again

And the pendulum swung
