I wished the sun to shine on you
And sparkle gently in your eyes;
I've asked its rays to warm you and send
Rose-colored sunsets to paint your skies.
I've asked the rainbow to gleam brilliantly

Through droplets of heavenly rain,
To color your world artistically
Through your window pane.
I've make a request to the wind
To softly dance and sway the trees;
And blow sweet aromatic scents
Of flower gardens through its breeze.
May lacy honeysuckle bloom
Wildly about your cottage door,
That, as you wander to and fro,
Butterflies and hummingbirds soar.

Oh, that songbirds fly merrily and
Put music in your days;
And nightfall twinkles rhythmically
As the jeweled starlit lullaby plays.
In all your dreams may your spirit ascend
To a high place of perfect rest;
And, may it be that all your days
Are full and Godly blessed.
